About KinCarer
We built the thing our own family needed.
We were caring for a grandmother living with dementia and a great-grandmother who needed more help as she got older. All of it ran through phone calls and one person's memory. KinCarer is the shared place we wished we had at the time.

The KinCarer team
We are a small team in the UK. KinCarer is live on the App Store and Google Play, and families are using it today. The guides on our blog are published by the team for the people doing the coordinating: adult children, siblings sharing care, long-distance family and paid carers. If something in a guide is wrong or out of date, tell us at hello@kincarer.com and we will fix it.
What KinCarer is
A care planning app for families looking after an elderly parent or relative. One person creates a care circle and invites family, relatives and paid carers. The circle shares a schedule of tasks and appointments, check-ins so everyone knows who is with the person and when, medication reminders, handover notes between visits, care files for documents and emergency contacts, and a chat that can turn a message into a task. Clara, the optional assistant, answers questions from what the circle has recorded.
KinCarer is not a medical device, a care provider or an emergency service, and Clara does not give medical, legal or clinical advice. It is for the practical side of care: what needs doing, who is doing it, and what happened.
How we handle a family's information
A care circle is private to the family who owns it. The family decides who joins and what each person can see. We do not sell data. The app's data is held in Ireland, on Supabase infrastructure in the EU. When someone uses Clara, their question and the care details it needs are sent to OpenAI, and only after that person has agreed to it in the app. The privacy policy sets out the detail.
Working with care providers and partners
Care agencies can include KinCarer Family+ for the families they support and see the families they cover without seeing inside the circle; see KinCarer for care organisations. Community groups, carers and people with an audience of families can recommend KinCarer through the partner programme.
